Hi there ! I’m Athena , a Holistic Health Practitioner, mom of two boys, a Reiki practitioner, licensed massage therapist, and cosmetologist.
I moved to the area from California, where I owned and operated a salon where my work centered around helping women feel beautiful and confident in their skin. Over time, I felt called to go deeper and beyond external care and into more intentional, holistic support for women. That path led me into massage therapy, Reiki, herbalism, and practices such as yoni steaming, sound healing and guided meditation, where I began holding space for women through small group gatherings and ceremonies.
After becoming a mother, my work shifted in a profound way.
Entering pregnancy and postpartum for the first time, I realized how unprepared and uneducated I was about my own body. My postpartum experience was difficult, I felt like a fish out of water, between the hormonal fluctuations , the isolation, the postpartum anxiety, I was shocked by how little I knew. I spoke with other woman and discovered that many woman have similar experiences. What should be one of the most cared-for seasons of life often feels isolating and overwhelming.
As I continued to connect with other mothers, I began offering support — bringing nourishing wellness baskets, sharing resources, and creating space for connection.
After the birth of my second son and relocating to New Hampshire, I felt called to expand this work into something more intentional.
New Mother Collective was created as a way to offer thoughtful, in-home postpartum support, while also building a sense of community for mothers in the Seacoast area and beyond.
This work is rooted in the belief that mothers deserve the space to rest and bond with their baby as they adjust to their new life. My hope is to help mothers and families during that magical fourth trimester, through nourishment, meal preparation, environmental and emotional support.
